Ball Bag Backup

• P Pitcher Bag Sprint to the plate the instant the ball gets past the catcher — straddle the foul line and give a low target.
• C Catcher Ball Rip the mask off, find the ball fast, and decide: flip to the plate, or eat it. Never throw blind.
• 1B First Base Backup Move in toward the line, ready if the ball squirts sideways.
• 2B Second Base Bag Cover second — if the play dies, no one sneaks an extra base.
• 3B Third Base Bag Cover third — if the runner hesitates or retreats, you want the return throw.
• SS Shortstop Backup Shade toward third to back up a return throw.
• LF Left Field Backup Move in to back up third base.
• CF Center Field Backup Move in toward second — every base gets a glove.
• RF Right Field Backup Move in behind first in case the play turns into a throw-around.
